The September roundup 📦
The Android app for everyone, a smoother app, 30 content languages, publishing without TikTok…
Yanis from Vervox
You may have noticed: there was no What's new post in August. We took the chance to catch our breath, but Vervox kept moving forward. So here's a roundup of everything that changed over the last two months. ⬇️
New The Android app is open to everyone
In July, I launched Android early access with 30 spots. Promise kept: since last month, the Vervox app has been available to everyone on Google Play.
A huge thank you to the beta testers who put it through its paces and told me what wasn't working. Their feedback helped us fix quite a few things before launch.
Improved A much smoother app, on iPhone and Android
The update that just came out makes the app noticeably smoother: it opens faster, and you move from one screen to the next without waiting. We also used it to fix a batch of bugs.
Remember to update the app from the App Store or Google Play.
Yes, Vervox works in ChatGPT too
It's the question I've been asked most since the post about Claude. Same idea: you connect your Vervox account once, then you just talk normally, and Vervox works behind the scenes with your real numbers.
You'll need a paid ChatGPT plan (Plus or Pro, or Business and Enterprise if your admin allows it) and an active Vervox subscription. Everything ChatGPT triggers uses your Vervox credits and quotas, just like on the website.
To connect it, in ChatGPT:
- Step 1: in the settings, under Security, turn on developer mode.
- Step 2: open Plugins and click “+”.
- Step 3: name it “Vervox”, paste the address https://vervox.app/api/mcp/mcp and choose OAuth authentication.
- Step 4: sign in with your Vervox account and authorise access. That's it, Vervox is connected.
New 9 new content languages, 30 in total
Several creators wrote to me, including creators in Indonesia: Vervox was writing their hooks and captions in English, because they couldn't pick their language. We fixed that by adding more international languages.
Your content language is your audience's language. It's the language Vervox uses to write your ideas, your scripts, your hooks, your carousel text, your captions and your hashtags. (The interface stays in the language you chose.)
The 9 new ones: Indonesian, Vietnamese, Thai, Malay, Filipino, Urdu, Bengali, Russian and Ukrainian.
That makes 30 languages: French, English, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Romanian, Czech, Hungarian, Greek, Turkish, Arabic, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Thai, Malay, Filipino, Urdu, Bengali, Russian and Ukrainian.
You choose it in your Settings, under Profile, on the website and in the app.
Improved The carousel editor gets richer
You now have much more control over every slide:
- Text width: handles to adjust the width of each block, without touching the font.
- Line spacing: to give your lines more room or tighten them up.
- Highlight: a new style to make certain words stand out.
- Cropping: reposition your images, with a gradient if you want to keep the text readable.
- Safe zone: your text no longer ends up under TikTok's buttons.
- Up to 35 slides: TikTok's limit, with sharper downloads.
Improved And also
- Share a script: a simple link is enough, even for someone who doesn't have an account.
- The “Faithful” setting: when you create a script from a video, Vervox can keep the same script and simply rewrite it.
- Multiple accounts: switch from one to another in one click, just like on Instagram.
- Your email address: change it yourself, from your settings.
New Publishing without TikTok
Until now, the Publishing page revolved around TikTok: without a connected TikTok account, you couldn't publish.
Now TikTok becomes a toggle, just like the other networks. You can publish to YouTube alone if you want, and you get real scheduling tools along the way:
- Schedule ahead: up to 30 days, at whatever time you like.
- One date for everything you send: with a delay per network if you want to spread things out.
- Retry: if one network fails, you relaunch just that one.
And all of this works in the app too.
And if TikTok has become one network among others, that's no accident. You've been waiting a long time for Instagram and Facebook, and so have we: they should finally arrive sometime in October, and with a bit of luck as early as the end of this month. Here's what's coming:
- Publishing: your Reels and carousels published and scheduled, choosing your cover, your Reel in the feed or only in the Reels tab, and trial reels on Instagram, to test a video with non-followers before showing it to your community.
- Metrics: your Instagram and Facebook stats, alongside TikTok and YouTube.
- Account analysis: your Instagram account analysed, just like you already do for TikTok.
They'll get a What's new post all to themselves as soon as they're out.
And as always, your opinion matters. An idea, a bug, something that's not working? Tell me at vervox.app/feedback. I read everything, and part of this roundup comes straight from your feedback.
